Stitch-and-glue construction, along with the development of epoxy and modern mahogany marine plywood, has revolutionized and revitalized wooden boat building. this method of building is not only stronger, lighter, and faster than traditional wooden boat building, but it also takes far less skill. with stitch-and-glue construction, no strongbacks, forms, or temporary frames are required to. The boat is constructed in a multichine, marine plywood style with epoxy glass laminates inside and out in a stitch and glue style. stainless t-nuts are embedded in the hull deck surface from below to provide a secure set of mounting points for the aka wing. instead, it is a very fast sea kayak in the racing boat style with its lowered aft. Stitch and glue guideboat project this is my latest boatbuilding project. it is a stitch and glue adirondack guideboat and the plan was from john gardiner. stitch means the panels are held together with wires that are spaced every 12" or so. then thickened epoxy is put in between the stitches to tack the boat seams together...
